Kunduz Communities

The CASA-1000 transmission line enters Afghanistan in Kunduz province after passing through Tajikistan. Kunduz province is one of the northeastern provinces of Afghanistan and one of the most important commercial and port cities. Kunduz has 6 districts including (Khan Abad, Chahar Dara, Dasht-e Archi, Aliabad, Qala-e-Zal and Imam Sahib).

The Afghanistan CASA-1000 portion line starts from Sher Khan Bandar in Kunduz province. Imam Sahib, Kunduz city and Khan Abad districts are located on the CASA-1000-line route. In Kunduz province, 68 Community Development Councils have been verified through the Community Support Program (CSP) under the umbrella of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development.

These Community Development Councils are working to assess the required and needful projects of the villages in consultation with the people and after that the required projects will be implemented/being implemented through CASA-1000 Community Support Program (CASA-CSP).
