Grid Extension Project in Hes-i-Awal Kohistan District of Kapisa Province

A grid extension project is ongoing with approximately 50% physical progress in Maqsud Khel village of Hes-i-Awal Kohistan district, Kapisa province under the Community Support Program of CASA-1000 (CASA-CSP).

Maqsud Khel village, which is located in Hes-i-Awal Kohistan district, is one of the villages located on the CASA-1000 project corridor of influence, and its residents have chosen the grid extension project as their preferred project.

The Maqsud Khel Community Development Council (CDC) project includes an extension of 0.4 kV of grid extension with a length of 1492 meters, which will benefit 742 residents from 163 households. The project, which is now underway at a tune of around 1,935,700 afghanis, with its completion necessary access to electricity facilities will be provided to community residents.

With support from Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF), the CASA-CSP is being implemented through the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) to attract communities’ support for the successful implementation of CASA-1000.
