Three Development Projects Ongoing in Boz Khord CDC at Value of Nearly AFN 4.5m

The construction of 180-meters-long protection wall, three water-intakes and an irrigation canal project is ongoing in Boz Khord Community Development Council in the Capital of Kunduz province through the Community Support Program of CASA-1000 (CASA-CSP) under the umbrella of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD).

With 70 % physical progress to date, the 180 meters long and 1.5 meters high protection wall, 200 meters irrigation canal and three water intakes will be completed at a tune of AFN 4 million and 475 thousand.

During the construction work of the project 3655 labor days will be created for skilled and unskilled labors. 87 households will benefit the facilities of the project. It is to be noted that the irrigation canal may irrigate 150 acres of farming lands and the protection wall will protect over 50 acres of farm lands and residential houses from the potential risks of seasonal floods.

The CASA-CSP is being implemented with support from the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF) to implement electricity supply and other development projects in the corridor of influence of CASA-1000.
