Construction of 20 Culverts and a Retaining Wall Ongoing in Kunduz

Construction of a retaining wall together with 20 culverts is ongoing by the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development under the CASA-1000 Community Support Program (CASA-CSP) in Qara Turukman Community Development Council, Imam Saheb district, Kunduz province.

With a 70 percent physical progress, the 61 meters long and five meters high retaining wall will be completed at a cost of over AFN 4 million. During the construction of this public utility project, 2815 labor days will be created for skilled and unskilled labors from 334 households.

Its worth mentioning that with the completion of this project, the community will be connected with the ring-road of Kunduz city and will provide the community residents with socio-economic benefits.

The Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development is implementing the CASA-CSP project, with support from the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF) to encourage the localities for successful implementation of CASA-1000 Electricity Transmission and Trade Project.
