Construction of Protection Wall Ongoing in Nangarhar

The construction of a protection wall project is ongoing in Shergar Community Development Council (CDC), Kama district of Nangarhar province through the CASA-1000 Community Support Program (CASA-CSP) under the umbrella of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD).

At a tune of over AFN 5 million and 175 thousand, the 710 meters long protection wall project is being implemented through the Community Development Council (CDC) under CASA-CSP to gain the support of the people for the successful implementation of CASA-1000. During the implementation of the project 4,535 labor days are created for skilled and unskilled labors. Furthermore, 470 households will benefit from the facilities of the sub-project. It’s to be noted that, 30 sub-projects are approved for Community Development Councils in Kama district under the CASA-CSP which will be completed in the near future.

The CASA-CSP which is supported by the Afghanistan Reconstruction Trust Fund (ARTF) is being implemented through the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) to attract communities’ support for the successful implementation of CASA-1000.
