Grid Extension Project in Laghman

A grid extension project is ongoing with 62% physical progress in Fazal Muhammad village of Qarghaee district, Laghman province under the Community Support Program of CASA-1000 (CASA-CSP).

Fazal Mohammad village, which is located a few kilometers from Mehtarlam, the capital of Laghman province in Qarghahi district, is one of the villages located on the CASA-1000 project route, and its residents have chosen the grid extension project as their preferred project.

The Fazl Mohammad Community Development Council (CDC) project includes an extension of 20 kV of grid extension, which will benefit 408 residents from 68 households. The project, which is now underway at a tune of around 1,679,379 afghanis, with its completion necessary access to electricity facilities will be provided to community residents.

The CASA-CSP is being implemented through the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD) to attract communities’ support for the successful implementation of CASA-1000.
